Sleipnir Loki in the form of a white mare and impregnated by a horse Svadilfari, gave birth to an eight-legged Sleipnir. When Loki returned to the natural form, he gave to the god Odin Sleipnir, announced that the horse could bring quicker than any horseman, by land, sea or air and has the power to enter into the land of the dead and back. Its tail is not cut short, but was tied to itself to prevent use as a handle in combat. Six feet in front of Sleipnir can set up a vicious attack.
